BYAKKO

Omakase + Izakaya x Sato
This iconoclastic Izakaya takes inspiration from the ideas of Japanese artist and philosopher, Taro Okamoto, and his Yoru no Kai (“Night Society” in Japanese), an art research and discussion group that championed the idea of Sogo Geijutsu (“total work of art”). Byakko (“white tiger”) mixes traditional and experimental Japanese techniques in cooking, construction, and art. There is no place like it in Merida, Yucatan.
